Trump says Planned Parenthood can keep federal funding if it halts abortions

Trump stated that he plans to increase the amount of funding given to health organizations that provide vital health services like cancer screenings.

On Monday, Trump confirmed that there had been discussions after The New York Times inquired about what it described as an informal proposal.

According to Time magazine, Planned Parenthood now receives $500 million in federal funding annually.

Ignoring the fact that Trump was vocally pro-choice until running for the Republican nomination (because hey, as Americans we have the right to decide that a woman's autonomy is negotiable, right?) this statement is beyond troubling.

Republican state Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald says he's "worried about what the fallout will be" for Wisconsin and other states under the proposed changes to the federal health care law.

Planned Parenthood claims abortion is "only three percent" of its business. "Just yesterday, on a vote of 75-13, Kentucky's House passed a bill that would end funding to Planned Parenthood if the federal government allows choice by the states". That takes it down to 134,530,908 potential donors, so each one would need to donate $4.12-in addition to whatever they might already give-to keep Planned Parenthood's budget bottom line the same. Last week, a draft of a House bill repealing the Affordable Care Act and defunding Planned Parenthood was leaked to the media. "For many patients, blocking access to Planned Parenthood, to their healthcare providers, means blocking access to their only access to care".

"This would effectively block patients who rely on federally subsidized health care―about 60 percent of Planned Parenthood's 2.5 million patients―from choosing Planned Parenthood for their healthcare", wrote the Huffington Post's Laura Bassett on Monday.

Now you can eat like Tom Brady
According to ESPN , Brady and Purple Carrot are branding the ready-to-cook meals " Eat like a goat " in a catchy bit of wordplay. Then again, it'd probably be $400/week for six meals that serve 8-10 people.

Rather, it submits bills for reimbursement to Medicaid, Medicare and other health insurance companies for services provided to women.

Federal dollars can't be used to pay for abortions - except in very limited circumstances - as a result of the Hyde Amendment.

One thing seems certain: Abortion is an issue that includes Americans of good conscience on either side.

There are 13,000 FQHC's nationwide and outnumbers Planned Parenthood clinics by 20 to 1. They are LGBTQ people who found in Planned Parenthood the first or only health care provider to treat them with compassion and without judgment.

"Congrats to the New York Times for getting Planned Parenthood to admit it is all about the abortion business, and always will be!"

And, Richards added, there will be more to do. "It is only right that we stand up to this sort of divisive action".
