A new documentary that includes surveillance video showing Michael Brown in a convenience hours before he was fatally shot sparked angry protests in Missouri Sunday night, with nearly 100 people gathered outside the Ferguson Market & Liquor store.

Protests erupted yet again in Ferguson, Mo., in light of a new documentary that suggests Mike Brown didn't actually rob the Ferguson Market & Liquor store before his encounter with Officer Darren Wilson.

The new footage is a part of Pollock's new documentary Strange Fruit, which debuted Saturday at the South By Southwest festival in Austin, Texas.

Police Officer Darren Wilson fatally shot 18-year-old Brown while trying to arrest him after the alleged noon robbery. Video was released of Brown shoving the clerk in the market and the clerk reported a robbery to the police.

Instead, security footage released by a documentary filmmaker appears to show Brown making a drug deal with store clerks in exchange for the cigarillos he was later accused of stealing. Brown is shown walking toward the door with the sack, then turning around and handing the cigarillos back across the counter before exiting.

The documentary suggests that Brown did not return to rob the store but came back to retrieve the bag of cigarellos.

Pollock's video shows the black 18-year-old's altercation with store employees might have been a misunderstanding linked to a possible drug transactions he previously had that day with store employees on August 9, 2014. He then appears to have the employees hold the cigarillos for him behind the counter before he leaves, all taking place in the early hours of the day he died.

Mr Pollock's film claims that the marijuana was exchanged as part of a pre-negotiated deal, and that Brown had then made a decision to leave the cigars behind the shop counter for safekeeping. Wilson claimed that Brown had turned and charged him, while some witnesses and supporters of Brown said that he was attempting to surrender when he was killed.
