Switch is Nintendo's fastest-selling console ever in the US

Lucas Bell | 14 April, 2017, 16:40

It is still not clear if Nintendo can extend the momentum of Switch given that the games releases are too few and far between.

The Switch was a huge hit in the United States in March, according to industry-tracking firm The NPD Group. This makes the Switch one of the fastest selling consoles in Nintendo's history. At first HackerOne covered the Wii U and 3DS, but was recently implemented for Switch, its new console.

You may not have been able to find a Switch at retailers last month, but plenty of people in the U.S. did.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wind surely helped sell some system, and Nintendo confirmed that it sold 1.3 million million copies of that game.

Nintendo will provide a full accounting of worldwide Nintendo Switch sales, as well as other financial information, during its fiscal-year earnings release on April 27.

Comcast says it will not sell customer browsing histories
But, why did the Trump administration repeal these rules? The House voted 215-205 to reject the rule. Verizon privacy officer Karen Zacharia said the company offers two programs for their browsing data.

To finish the event, Nintendo announced the release of extra charging docks on May 19th and a new battery pack for Joy Cons. In a news release, Nintendo reiterated that the Switch, a hybrid system that works at home and on the go, is the fastest-selling console in Nintendo's history.

We already know the Nintendo Switch has proved popular with fans, with the company previously revealing it to have racked up its best-ever opening weekend sales for a Nintendo console in North America. The step had to be taken due to extensive piracy on Nintendo's vulnerable gaming consoles like the Wii U and 3DS. This means that there were more Breath of the Wild sales than there were Nintendo Switch sales.

Nintendo added that shipments of Switch units have not been able to keep up with consumer demand, but that they are "working to make sure everyone who wants a system is able to buy one, and more systems are continually being shipped".

Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition will also include local multiplayer for up to four players (in TV Mode and Handheld Mode), as well as online multiplayer for up to eight. If you plan to get it on the Nintendo Switch, our advice is to wait a little longer and see how the public is responding before spending your money to get one.
