On Monday, Fox News contributor Julie Roginsky filed a lawsuit against Ailes and current Fox News President Bill Shine.

The brands pulling their ads from The O'Reilly Factor include carmakers Subaru, BMW, Hyundai, Mitsubishi and Lexus; healthcare brands GlaxoSmithKline, Sanofi, Advil and Bayer; also Wayfair, Orkin, T. Rowe Price, Allstate and Esurance, Adweek reported.

As of Thursday morning, 55 companies had pulled advertising from "The O'Reilly Factor" amid allegations of sexual harassment against O'Reilly.

While O'Reilly may be so invaluable the network won't let him go, companies have launched a successful boycott of a host in the not-so-distant past.

"Those crusading against Old School now have a name: Snowflakes".

Since then, at least 50 companies have withdrawn advertisements from his top-rated show. She did so on Twitter on Wednesday, informing the President that while he urged O'Reilly not to settle the cases, women making accusations against O'Reilly, Ailes, and others, had no choice but to settle - it was in their contract.

In his new book, Fox News host Bill O'Reilly says he is reaching out to a generation of Americans he believes are under siege. Maxine Waters spoke out on Trump's defense of O'Reilly, saying, "They need to go to jail". O'Reilly hasn't admitted any wrongdoing.

Waters also criticized President Donald Trump for defending the Fox News star, saying his words of support are "coming out of the mouth of someone who has said some awful things about women".

O'Reilly also recently came under fire for offensive remarks directed at Waters. In addition, Fox News was again number one in total viewers in primetime with 2.3 million for the week compared to 1.7 million for MSNBC.
