Spurs beat Bournemouth by 4-0 goals to nil at White Hart Lane today, thanks to goals from Moussa Dembele, Heung-Min Son, Harry Kane and Vincent Janssen.

"4-0 is a good result for us but the three points is more important to close the gap at the moment with Chelsea".

Vincent Janssen capped off Spurs' afternoon by scoring just his second Premier League goal of the season in injury time, just minutes after coming on as a substitute.

Long-time leaders Chelsea are away at Manchester United on Sunday for what looks the toughest fixture of their run-in.

While the Argentine manager was pleased with how his side performed, Pochettino says the game was all about getting points on the board in case Chelsea drop points in their remaining seven games.

Kane played down his feat, insisting the only focus was on Tottenham maintaining the form that has seen them win seven consecutiuve top-flight games for the first time in 50 years.

All Tottenham can do is keep racking up the wins - Saturday's was the seventh in a row - and raising the goal-difference advantage over Chelsea in case it matters. "We have improved a lot, from the beginning of the season that was our chance to improve our mentality, our belief and I think you can see the group and the team have improved".

Spurs went into the match on the back of 11 successive home wins and continued that impressive run in the blistering London sunshine.

"We know in the last five games, we will have to be better".

"To be fighting for the top four for the second consecutive season is great for the players and fantastic for the club".

He marked his return to the starting line-up with his 20th Premier League goal of the season after the break, turning Francis far too easily in the Bournemouth area and slotting home a left-footed effort. Leicester has mounted a feeble defense of its title - sitting 12th - but it is England's last Champions League participant and hosts Atletico Madrid on Tuesday in the quarterfinals.

James Collins restored West Ham's lead two minutes after half time, but Fabio Borini rescued a 90th-minute equaliser before Hammers defender Sam Byram was sent off in stoppage time.

Goals by Robert Huth and Jamie Vardy put them 2-0 ahead but Palace hit back through Yohan Cabaye and Christian Benteke.

Kane is in second place on the Premier League scoring table for the season to date, with Everton's Romelu Lukaku on 23 at the time of writing. The Foxes are only 1-0 down from the first leg.
