Sean "Diddy" Combs has topped the annual Forbes list of the world's richest hip-hop artists for the fourth straight year, the magazine reported Wednesday. Puff earned much of his wealth through Cîroc Vodka, Revolt TV, his "Bad Boy Family Reunion Tour", as well as other investments. Both moguls augment their entertainment enterprises with lucrative alcohol deals, with Diddy doing well off his deal with Ciroc and Jay Z earning money from champagne brand Armand de Brignac. Jay Z is not too far behind at $810 million.

Combs edged out rapper Jay Z, who has been "Big Pimpin" thanks to a reported $200 million investment by Sprint into his Tidal music streaming service.

Dr. Dre, Birdman and Drake round out the list at numbers three, four and five, respectively.

The regulator also has "an ongoing duty to be satisfied that the holders of broadcast licenses are fit and proper to be licensed". A previous bid from the Murdochs to buy Sky was blocked after a scandal over phone hacking at Murdoch-owned newspapers.

Drake meanwhile has an estimated net worth of $90m (£70m).

This might be shocking, but Birdman is still ranked in the top five, now holding the number 4 list with a net worth of $110 billion.

Coming in at No. 3 is Andre "Dr. Dre" Young, with a net worth of $740 million, largely from his Beats deal with Apple in 2014.
