Comic Relief will raise funds live throughout the event, hosted by Chris Hardwick. Viewers will also get to see Paul Rudd in a rural part of ME that was hit hard by recession, and Julia Roberts visiting an overcrowded hospital in Nairobi.

Clearly, nostalgia is the driving force behind this project, and though those hoping to get a feature length sequel may be a bit disappointed to see that Curtis and co. have chose to go down this particular route instead, that nostalgia and love for the first film should be enough to warrant checking Red Nose Day Actually out - even if it means we'll never get a proper sequel.

Additional stars joining the special include Yvette Nicole Brown, Akbar Gbajabiamila, Bear Grylls, Matt Iseman, DJ Khaled and Dax Shepard. The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation recently announced that it will match up to $1 million in Red Nose Day donations that are raised on Facebook. Richard Curtis, who co-wrote and directed the Love Actually film, as well as his co-writer Emma Freud, will be penning the short.

"Over the years I've enjoyed doing Red Nose Day specials of TV things I've worked on-Blackadder, The Vicar of Dibley and Mr. Bean".

While the initial trailer for "Red Nose Day Actually" - a segment featured in the upcoming NBC Red Nose Day charity special - was a recreation of the iconic "To me, you're perfect" scene with Andrew Lincoln, this updated version has a lot more meat to it. Indeed, the Love Actually cast is reuniting for a tongue-in-cheek, comedy short related to Red Nose Day, and it has a new trailer too. Red Nose Day unites the entire world in trying to make a difference to the lives of thousands of people across the globe who are facing awful injustice or living in desperate poverty.
