A rocket launch from the Space Coast on Monday will be a rare exception for SpaceX.

SpaceX plans to launch a commercial communications satellite Monday afternoon in what will be the Elon Musk-led company's fifth launch of the year.

As a result, SpaceX did not attempt to land the rocket's first stage either at Cape Canaveral or at sea, and the Falcon 9 booster was not equipped with landing legs.

The communications satellite that SpaceX's Falcon 9 will loft to geostationary transfer orbit is a beast of a sat, weighing in at over six metric tons.

Instead, the spent rocket will fall into the Atlantic Ocean, as numerous rocket boosters did before SpaceX and others like Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin led the charge toward reusable rockets. The company has a 49-minute launch window, during which time the Falcon 9 can still take off. Since SpaceX returned to flight on January 17 of this year, five Falcon 9 rockets have launched.

Though we all know where he really is . "Because he told us so, period". " He wouldn't do that", McCarthy's Spicer said. A distraught Spicer was not sure if he could do the job anymore, afraid of being replaced by Sanders.

The successful launch was broadcast live over the internet on Monday.

"From here I-5 F4 will be manoeuvred to its geostationary orbit, 35,786km above Earth, where it will deploy its solar arrays and reflectors and undergo intensive payload testing before beginning commercial service", Inmarsat said.

London-based Inmarsat, which has a Palm Bay, Fla., office with about 200 employees, initially booked the mission on a Falcon Heavy rocket. However, since the company has not brought those into commercial flights yet, it chose to go with a regular Falcon.

The Inmarsat-5 series of satellite is built on the Boeing 702HP satellite bus.

The reasons behind it have to do with the satellite's weight, which will exceed 13,000 pounds, and the amount of fuel required to propel the vehicle into space.
