After selecting an item, users can give a command to buy the item and the Google Assistant will walk them through the process of selecting a shipping address and a payment method, all through voice commands.

Google, Microsoft, Apple and Amazon.com Inc are competing to establish the dominant voice-powered digital assistant, which many in the industry believe will supplant keyboards and touch screens as a primary way that users interact with technology. It'll have to work hard to rival Siri for iPhone users, though, as it can't be activated with the phone's home button. It coincided with the Google I/O 2017 event that opened on the same date as well.

One main takeaway from the conference Wednesday is Google is moving more towards artificial intelligence and machine learning and away from mobile. One that got a "finally" reaction from some in the crowd: support for Bluetooth music streaming. There may also be the outside chance that Google could try to challenge HTC, Oculus, and PlayStation by announcing its own entry high-end VR headset. They let you fully immerse yourself in gaming, video, and other forms of entertainment.

Google Play Protect, unveiled at Google I/O this morning, is Google's visible doubling down on its commitment to Android security. We also will see Spanish, Italian, and Korean within the near future.

Like other virtual reality platforms, Google Daydream is now announcing its independence of smartphones in the form of new standalone headphones. Daydream as an app, though, is launching soon on the Samsung Galaxy S8. Additionally, thanks to the recently added multi-user support individual users will be able to schedule to their respective accounts.

Moto X 2017 - Latest Motorola Smartphone
Motorola , well Lenovo since it now owns the brand, didn't launch a Moto X in 2016, instead introducing a new letter: Z. The Moto Z2 family could be officially announced on June 8 (this date is visible on the home screens of both phones).

Google CEO Sundar Pichai revealed Google Lens early in the conference's keynote, and it sounds much like the technology in the original Google Glass. You'll also be able to order physical books of your favorite albums, starting at $9.99.

There is no official dessert name for the latest version of Google's mobile OS, but Android O is now available for download in beta.

When is the Android Go release date?

Android O's upcoming Picture-In-Picture mode built at the system level was demonstrated. Details about the next version of Google's Pixel smartphone line - about which Google has offered few sales details - aren't expected to come until later this year. It's also prime for those in environments with slow data connections.

The really cool news here is that iOS users do not have to really wait for Google Assistant to hit Apple's App Store.
