Jay Z's new album, "4:44", will be a Tidal exclusive released June 30, he announced Monday along with the music service's partner, Sprint.

Jay Z first started teasing 4:44 via a series of billboards around NY and LA, along with a snippet of a song in a teaser video starring Mahershala Ali and Lupita Nyong'o. The album, 4:44, will drop on June 30 and will be exclusive to Tidal and Sprint customers. This seems to be all but proof 4:44 is a visual album!

It has been just shy of four years since Jay-Z released his most recent album, Magna Carta Holy Grail, and A LOT has happened since then.

. That partnership will also support the 1Million Project, an initiative aiming to offer internet access to 1 million low-income US high school students to eliminate the "homework gap".

Some sort of 4:44 video/film was previewed during the NBA Finals this year with names like Mahershala Ali, Danny Glover and Lupita Nyong'o. Is it a full-fledged album from Jay Z, detailing his thoughts and feelings post-Lemonade?

The movie is reportedly set to be released through TIDAL only via a partnership with Sprint.

"Letter to my dad that I never wrote, speeches I prepared that I never spoke", he raps over the solemn production. The film is being produced by Tidal, which suggests new music from the rapper could still be part of the project.

The follow-up to 2013's 'Magna Carta Holy Grail' will be available exclusively to TIDAL users and customers of USA mobile network Sprint.
