Alongside the addition of Ash Hat Pikachu to Pokemon GO, Niantic is also adding a special Anniversary Box item to the game's store for the duration of the birthday celebration. Fluent asked the respondents a range of questions to gauge general interest, as well as questions based on whether or not the respondents now have the app on their phone.

The game is now one year old. Of the 48 percent of respondents who heard "nothing at all", 9 percent downloaded the game.

For everyone else, a Pikachu wearing Ash Ketchum's trademark hat will be the biggest prize. For a start, you can now grab Pikachu in a hat.

That is all Niantic has announced by way of special events for the anniversary, much to the dismay of many users, but perhaps they may drop a surprise announcement later in the week. The box will have Incubators, Max Revives, Ultra Balls, and a Raid Pass offered at a discount.

HTC Ocean Life may feature Edge Sense and 16MP camera
Notably, the tipster has further revealed that just like the HTC U11, the Ocean Life will also have the Edge Sense technology. For capturing pictures and videos , the phone will expectantly sport a 16-megapixel camera, on both the front and rear.

This event will be from today until July 13th - a full week. While Niantic has yet to confirm if any such event is supposed to take place, the timing certainly makes the possibility seem more likely. As a side note, Pokemon GO players have thus far caught a whopping 125 billion Pokemon.

Pokemon Go trainers from all over the world are expected in the city for the event, which will see historical landmarks become Pokestops which will also provide historical information about the location.

Chester will play host to Pokémon GO Trainers visiting the United Kingdom from around the world, turning historical sites into PokéStops that players can interact with.
