The Jaguars will play their first preseason game on Thursday against the New England Patriots.

Albert took almost all of that before intimating to the Jaguars he would like to return to the NFL. He notified the team on Monday that he wanted to come back.

Jaguars reporter Mike DiRocco reports the team is "unlikely" to allow LT Branden Albert to return to the organization.

Miami basically traded Albert to Jacksonville for tight end Julius Thomas on March 9, and the teams exchanged late-round draft picks.

In a statement, Fox News said: " Eric Bolling has been suspended pending the results of an investigation, which is now underway". Bowe denied the allegations Saturday in statements to multiple media outlets.

Under his current deal, Albert's only real guarantee this season was the $8.875 million base salary he was set to make, which would have been fully guaranteed as a vested veteran once Albert crossed the threshold of being on the Jaguars' 53-man roster for Week 1, something that was basically a fait accompli before the retirement talk started. The Jaguars keep his rights, but if Albert decides he really, truly wants to play again, they have to either pay or cut him. None of that money was guaranteed, which is why he wanted a new contract. Albert, 32, was expected to compete with rookie Cam Robinson for the team's starting left tackle role in training camp. Albert worked out with the team's first team offense the first day of training camp, but Robinson over the next two days took reps with the first team.

It was never clear why Albert, who was battling second-round draft pick Cam Robinson for a starting job, chose to walk away after nine National Football League seasons.

Albert helped the Dolphins rush for 1,824 yards and allowed just four sacks in 13 games past year, despite playing with a ligament tear in his wrist for the second half of the season.
