All of Spacey's scenes, which only featured him, will now have to be reshot, although co-stars Mark Wahlberg and Michelle Williams are also expected to return for re-shoots.

Christopher Plummer is set to replace Spacey in the role of J Paul Getty, with reshoots of key scenes expected to start immediately to keep the film's December 22 U.S. release date.

Given the state of the current environment and news, it's inspiring to see filmmakers fight for what is morally right, and the producers' support of Scott gives the movie a chance for a fair shake in the marketplace and potentially in awards season, which would not have happened had Spacey's scenes been left intact after the troubling allegations leveled against the actor.

Plummer "was reportedly Scott's first choice for the role of Getty, but the director was pressured into casting a bigger name", The Guardian reports. That means Plummer must begin reshoots immediately. The movie chronicles the kidnapping of Getty's 16-year-old grandson, John Paul Getty III. When Getty Sr. refuses, Gail attempts to sway him as her son's captors become increasingly volatile and brutal. Unruh held a press conference, explaining her son was 18 years old when Spacey allegedly his genitals.

'Black Widow' Serial Killer Sentenced To Hang For Murdering Husbands, Lovers
During the trial Kakchi admitted to killing Isao Kakehi, saying he had not treated her well financially, but later retracted it. More than 560 people lined up for the 51 seats in the courtroom to hear Tuesday's ruling, NHK public television reported.

The report came just hours after a former TV news anchor alleged that Spacey sexually assaulted her teenage son a year ago, at a restaurant in Nantucket, Massachusetts. "It harmed him, and it can not be undone".

Spacey's career has been battered in recent weeks following Star Trek actor Anthony Rapp's revelation that he was sexually harassed when he was 14. "I'm beyond horrified to hear his story".

The claims against Spacey span from the mid-1980s to previous year.

The allegations have led to his firing from the hit television series House of Cards by the streaming service Netflix, which has also refused to release a film in which Spacey stars as the late American writer and critic Gore Vidal.
